humans do not naturally grow out of their passion and limitless imagination - their child-like happiness. 'growing up' is code for normalized repression and conformity to the machine of society. it is a collection of scars held in the heart, mostly dealt by society or its products. scars that inhibit - each one bringing further distance between the child and the adult. chains. each and every one - weighing down the inner child deeper and deeper, into the dark place where its pleas and cries can no longer be heard. we are not supposed to be this cold and apathetic, this cruel and distant from one another - living in so much fear...
